Edge Lofts is another project by Streetcar Developments, a popular developer in Toronto’s lower east side. The architect is the firm that designed the BMW dealership visible from the Don Valley Parkway. They have taken elements from that building and incorporated in the design of nearby Edge Lofts – all glass, with charcoal-grey brick and recessed balconies. Exactly half of the lofts are one bedroom plus den, the rest are evenly split between one bedroom and two bedroom suites. The suites are open concept in design with sliding partition doors and windows designed to minimize noise. Lofty features include 10 ft ceilings, concrete floors, contemporary cabinets with metal pulls, stone countertops and stainless steel appliances. Some kitchens have large islands. Because the building stands out among the lower elevation of the neighbourhood, the west facing suites will have an incredible view of the downtown core.
