King West Towers is the largest condo complex in Liberty Village. The complex consists of three towers built by Plazacorp located at 65, 67 and 69 East Liberty each with their own lobby and their own green rooftop courtyard.

Liberty Village is a downtown neighbourhood close to King West Village with a diverse range or condo apartments, townhomes and lofts with pubs, cafes, a grocery store, European bakeries, restaurants, and a farmer’s market nearby. Liberty Village is a huge magnet for single professionals and is one of the most popular places to live in downtown west.

The residents range from move up buyers from the Liberty Market area, and mature buyers looking for larger condos with expansive courtyards. Even downsizers like the larger suites offered in King West Towers.

The suites range from studios, one bedroom, one bedroom plus den to two bedrooms plus den. Fifty percent of the suites are two bedrooms or bigger. The majority of suites are from 493 up to 1,400 square feet.

King West allows an opportunity for Green living as well – water for drinking, bathing, washing and cooking is filtered by a central-source Culligan water filtration system, so there is no need to buy bottled water. There is also a central tri-sorter waste disposal system in the building, which offers easy separation into recyclables, organics and garbage.

The suites at King West Life feature many standard features that would be upgrades elsewhere. Hardwood engineered floors in the living area and berber carpet in the bedroom, deep soaker tubs in the bathroom and vanities with marble bathroom countertops. Each suite has real-flame fireplaces in the living room. In the kitchen standards include granite cabinets, stainless steel appliances, under-mount sink, upgraded faucets, furniture-style kitchen cabinetry, ceramic or mirrored backsplash. Each unit has at least one balcony or terrace.

The amenities are shared among the three condo buildings and include a 22,000-square-foot recreational facility. This contains 25th floor rooftop lake view club and terrace, ½ acre courtyard terraces, courtyard party lounge, Hollywood style screening room, indoor pool, hot tubs, steam rooms, yoga room, circuit training area, cardio and fitness area, games arcade, billiards room, bowling alleys, sports simulators with Wii capability and 5 guest suites. Because of the grand size of the condominium the cost of these amenities can be spread among many suites to minimize the cost of the amenities. Three auto share vehicles are available in the building.

This is one of the best values for the downtown area with lots of upgrades already standard. Also, the developer has a history of buildings with low maintenance fees. With the amenities shared among three buildings this maintenance fees should stay low.

The south facing suites on high floor have views of the lake. The biggest shortcoming I could think of is the noise from the Gardiner Expressway can be heard when sitting on your balcony.
