650 King Street West Condos are two contemporary modern condos of glass and steel, joined together by a courtyard and parking garage fronting on King and Bathurst St. This urban style condo features one storey, two storey suites and six unique townhomes.
The condo’s location on King St W is 11 storeys and Bathurst is 16 storeys high. Each building has its own entrance and the two buildings that are joined by the courtyard will feature black slate floors with wooden benches and cascading pools. Core Architects designed Six 50 King West Condominiums.
One of the unique design elements in the building is the evergreen foliage that is located on selected balconies and terraces. The suites insides have extended solid core entry doors with contemporary brushed hardware and exposed concrete ceilings and exposed columns. The one storey suites feature 9’ ceilings and the two storey suites have ceilings up to 18’10” on two storey suites.
The kitchens have custom designed European style cabinetry with stone countertops and premium stainless steel appliances. The bathrooms have designer tiles, upgraded bathroom fixtures and custom designed Corian vanity. Prefinished engineered flooring throughout the suite including the bedrooms.
The developer, Freed Developments, has made a commitment to sustainable design, construction and operation and is a LEED registered building. The energy efficient tinted glass, landscaped rooftop, low emission flooring and paints, motion sensitive lighting, recycling are just some of the ways the developer has conserved energy at Six 50 King West Condominiums.
I wish the developers made the ceilings higher on the single storey units. When the ceilings are exposed concrete, a high ceiling helps to make the suite feel more open. Many of the one bedroom suites have interior bedrooms. These are bedrooms with no windows..
