Curve lofts is the phase 2 of West Side Gallery Lofts, a loft with very mixed reviews by Urbancorp, a common builder in the Art and Design District. The 9 storey condo is built on a curve and is linked with its sister building by a common landscaped courtyard and walkway.
Residents are steps to the Art and Design District, King West, Queen West and Liberty Village. There is a large selection of daytime and nighttime neighbourhood amenities, Drake and Gladstone Hotel, cafes, indie shops, restaurants and bars.
Like Westside Gallery Lofts, the suite sizes are small, they range in size from 470 to 925 sq ft. The building finishes, are designed for the first time buyer with a low bar. The suites are considered “industrial raw” exposed concrete ceilings, floors and walls, exposed ductwork, piping and conduits, basically everything is exposed but the bathroom and closets. The drywall separating the kitchen and bathroom with the bedroom and living room is only 7 ft, so noise between rooms might be an issue for some buyers. The kitchen cabinetry is Italian modern, Scavollini and the appliances are stainless steel. The kitchen could use more counter space for added efficiency.
The amenities in Curve Lofts includes a gym and indoor pool.
Curve Lofts is one of the best priced condos in the neighbourhood but you get what you pay for. If you’re not a fan of concrete, this building won’t appeal to you.
