The High Park, named after the 400 acre park it overlooks, is a midrise 11 storey condo nestled between High Park and Bloor West Village.

There’s a lot of pluses in this condo, located in a “character neighbourhood” Bloor West, lively streetscape of shops and restaurants, 3500 square feet of retail on the ground floor, subway located just down the street, expansive balconies off every suite and views of the 400 acre High Park.

The building is thin on amenities but considering the size of the building, only 108 suites, this is a good thing as it keeps the maintenance fees down.

Suites sizes range from 481 to 1155 square feet. Considering the building targets up-sizers from downtown condos and downsizers from the neighbourhood, the building could use bigger layouts. I think anyone downsizing from a house needs a least 1200 sq ft to downsize comfortably.

The developer North Drive brought in big names for this project, Quadrangle Architects, acclaimed interior design firm Cecconi Simone and landscape designer Janet Rosenberg .

This trilogy creates an urban but modern feel to this residence, something you’d expect to see in the downtown core not Bloor West. Bloor West, you’ve officially arrived.

Some negatives is the interior bedrooms in some of the layouts, I was hoping that we could avoid seeing this considering this is Bloor West and not the Entertainment District. Nevertheless, this is a popular condo as the demand to live in High Park is strong the supply is severely lacking.
