Newport Beach was completed for occupancy in 2000 by Canderel – Stoneridge and comprises a north and south tower, both 17 storeys high and a series of townhomes. The North Tower has 110 condominium suites. Two bedroom and three bedroom suites range in size from 1045 sq ft to 2630 sq ft. The South Tower has 112 condominium suites with one bedroom suites from 665 to 850 sq ft, two bedroom suites ranging in size from 840 sq ft to 2275 Sq ft and three bedroom townhomes approx. 2600 sq ft. Penthouses are approx 4000 sq ft with terraces and 9' ceilings. Residents enjoy the Newport Beach Club in the lounge complete with fireplace, cozy bar and catering kitchen, ensuite security, personal storage space, some gas fireplaces together with 24 hour concierge, hobby room, workshop, media room, exercise room for weight training and aerobics, sauna and three overnight guests suites. Many residents also enjoy sweeping views of Lake Ontario and the Toronto City skyline from their balcony. A 5 hectare waterfront park is right next to the building and makes for a scenic walk along the lake. Many times I’ve seen bird watchers hidden in the tall grasses that are natural nesting areas along the shores of the building. The city has established a wetland habitat in Humber Bay Park, which is located by the building. The Newport Beach is minutes from downtown Toronto, Pearson Airport and major highways.
