Urban Capital is the developer behind Tableau, a 36 storey tower in the Entertainment District. Urban Capital has also done other projects in the neighbourhood like Boutique, River City in the east end and Nicholas Condos in midtown.
Wallman Architects came up with the concept of a table which best describes the tower sitting on the existing 20th century warehouse facade at 117 Peter St in the Entertainment District. The tower will feature 450 suites ranging from studios to 3 bedrooms and offices on the second and third floor with retail on the ground level.
A striking sculpture by Shayne Dark greets visitors by the entrance. The amenities feature guest suites, yoga room, steam room, gym, reading room, film screening room and a party room. The exterior landscaped roof includes private outdoor cabanas with bbqs, dining area, sofas, lounge chairs perfect for entertaining guests.
Interiors are designed by Cecconi Simone and feature 9’smooth ceilings, floor to ceiling windows, wraparound balconies, and multiple rolling doors that allow for greater room flexibility and functionality. The “smart kitchens” have custom retractable doors to allow for the kitchen to be closed when not used. The custom designed cabinetry is either black, red, green or grain finishes.
Environmental features include an onsite hybrid car share program, dual flush toilets, water efficient fixtures, zero emission paints, flooring, and a self on-site irrigation system for the building’s landscaping.
